Apple is very likely to announce the expected iPad Mini, the compact version of the full size iPad3 on Tuesday October 23rd in time for a big Christmas launch according to the latest technology media news reports.
Well regarded news and gadget technology website All Things D indicates that “people familiar with Apple’s plans” saying it will be a glitzy invitation only event on October 23rd 2012 at Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium.
Many technology analysts had already expected their personal invites to an Apple launch event of the iPad Mini to go out in advance sometime this current week but this does not seem to have been the case on this occasion.
Firm detailed rumours for the iPad Mini are fairly scarce and we knew a lot more about the iPhone 5 prior to launch than we do about the imminent iPad Mini tablet.
The size and price of the iPad mini looks likely to be in a similar price range to the Android based Google Nexus 7 tablet, with a 7.8in LCD screen. Many expect the price to be in the £300 or $500 USD arena. The iPad Mini will be a thinner, lighter tablet device. However with real information on the Ipad Mini still under tight lock and key we will have to wait and see what is announced later in the month at the Apple media event.
